Class Description: The Big Questions of Faith: Riddle and Mystery (11-12* years old)

Is there a God? What happens after I die?  Does my life have a purpose? How will I know what to do with my life?  These are big questions we all voice and we all must face.  Though Unitarian Universalists espouse different theologies, we agree on many answers to these questions.  This curriculum helps young people understand that our individual search for meaning in the universe is supported and strengthened when we come together as people of faith.  Participants explore our shared UU beliefs and determine where their beliefs fit in the spectrum.  Engaging, relevant activities range from the introspective to scripted dramas, internet suveys and creating our own video productions.

* Age by September is the preferred placement for children.  Please speak to the Director of Lifespan Growth and Learning for any exceptions.

 Taking it Home

Dear Parents,

This space is especially for you!

Do you ever wish you knew more about your child's class?

Would you like to support your child in bringing her learnings into her life, and to develop more connectedness between church and home?

When our classes begin in September, this space will provide a brief description of  the week's session, suggestions for exploring the topic with your child, and for extending the topic at home through family activities during the week.
