Class Description: Our Whole Lives, Junior High Level

Held on Sunday evenings, the Our Whole Live Human Sexuality Education curriculum for 8th graders (ages 13-14*) promotes sexual and emotional health in our communities and fosters meaningful dialogue between peers, partners, families, and friends. This comprehensive course addresses not only the physical, but the spiritual, emotional, and cultural aspects of sexuality.  Students learn about sexuality in a context of valuing respect, relationship and responsibility for one’s self and others. We provide this opportunity for students to learn about sexuality in a context grounded in our religious and community values.  We believe that comprehensive sexuality education is ministry; a ministry with the power to profoundly and positively change the lives of our young people.

* Age by September is the preferred placement for children.  Please speak to the Director of Lifespan Growth and Learning for any exceptions.
