Throughout history, Unitarian Universalists have advocated tirelessly for social justice and human rights. Anti-slavery, women's suffrage, civil rights, anti-war, peace, economic justice and environmental justice movements have seen UUs at the forefront. This tradition of advocating for social justice continues at UUCC. Through our Legislative Watch Committee and as an affiliate of the UU Legislative Ministry of Maryland and Equality Maryland, we offer our members and friends organized opportunities to interact with their legislators on significant local, state, regional, and national issues. As a leading member of People Acting Together in Howard (PATH), we organize our community to influence local and state programs and legislation. Through the UU Service Committee, our members and friends advocate for civil liberties, economic and environmental justice and human rights worldwide particularly for those most at risk when natural disasters strike. To participate in these or other advocacy activities, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
