This month’s Second Sunday Outreach Offering (SSOO) on September 12 will benefit the UUSC-UUA Joint Pakistan Flood Relief Fund.   For more information, go to www.uusc.org or check the details in Sunday’s Order of Service.  

 Previous Second Sunday Outreach Offerings are outlined below.  Thank you for your continued generosity and support to these worthy causes.   In 2010 alone, UUCC members have raised nearly $13k for SSOO recipients.  Reverend Paige Getty and the Social Action Council continue to receive many expressions of heartfelt thanks from these organizations (and pleas for additional, sustained help on an annual basis).  If you’d like to suggest an organization to benefit from an SSOO, please email Bill Harris at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Did you know that the LGL Office has a library from which all of our members and friends may borrow?  Topics include spirituality, prayers, poems and meditations, parenting, education, the bible and world religions, and UU history. Two recent additions were donated to the library from the UUCC bookstore: Been in the Storm So Long, and Black Pioneers in a White Denomination, by Mark Morrison Reed. Please feel free to stop in to browse, and check out a book anytime!  Simply sign-out on the clipboard provided, and plan to return the book when you are finished or after one month.  If the book has been out for more than a month, you will receive a friendly reminder.
