8th Principle Discussions – Two More Chances to Participate

8th Principle Discussions – Two More Chances to Participate

In anticipation of a vote to endorse the 8th Principle of UUism at the June 7th annual meeting, members of UUCC’s Board of Trustees will host discussion groups to give members the opportunity to discuss and share their thoughts.  After the last of these sessions has concluded, the Board will draft the resolution on which the membership will be asked to vote. The resolution will then be posted on the Annual Meeting 2020 page of the website.

Before attending one of these discussions, please read the Board’s Good Governance post on the topic – Why the 8th Principle?. We also encourage you to attend worship on Sunday, May 17, during which Rev. Paige Getty and Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries Valerie Hsu will explore the history and meaning of the proposed 8th principle.

We invite you to join us for any of the four following 8th Principle Discussions:

  • Sunday, 5/17: in break-out rooms beginning 15 minutes after the end of worship
  • Monday, 5/18: 4-5pm
  • Saturday, 5/23: 10-11am
  • Monday, 5/25: 4-5pm

Access information for the discussion groups will be available on the UUCC calendar.
