🕯️ What’s worship like?
Our 10AM Sunday worship services reflect diverse faith traditions we are founded on, including Humanism and atheism, as well as Paganism, Christianity, agnosticism, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, mysticism, and more. Whatever your faith tradition, we welcome you and hope you find familiar traditions, as well as new ones. We hope you are nurtured, inspired, invited to feel your feelings, made to think, challenged to act in the world, and perhaps even, transformed.
Most often, there is a reflection by the minister/guest minister or shorter reflections from congregants, readings and poetry ✨, a time for all ages 🌻, sharing of joys and sorrows ❤️ from the week, and hymn singing as well as music 🎶 from our Chalice Choir and/or congregant musicians.
We have congregant-led services created and led by adults, youth, and/or children, guest ministers, Pride services 🌈, music services 🎶, Pagan services 🌙 with earth-centered rituals, and an annual Christmas pageant ❄️ for all ages. Come visit and come often to experience the ever-changing variations in our worship services and community.

🏢 How can I participate in worship on a Sunday?
We offer a multi-platform 10AM (ET) worship service on Sundays for those who choose to worship in-person at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center (7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD) and those who would prefer to stay home and tune in on Zoom. | 🚗 Access driving directions to our building
Families of all ages and kinds are also invited to join us for Wholly Church ✨, a newer, embodied worship service held most Sundays from 9-9:30AM in-person only.
😷 Are masks required?
As of September 2024, we are encouraging congregants to wear masks when there are spikes in local Covid cases, when sick, and when there are lots of germs going around.
👕 What is the dress code?
If you’re joining us via Zoom, stay in your pajamas if you can! And if you’re joining us in-person, whether you feel like dressing casual or fancy, we invite congregants to arrive as you feel comfortable.
🧑🏻🍼 May my child stay with me during the worship service?
Yes, of course. You can also hang out in the Chapel, located next to Sanctuary C during the 10AM worship service with other families with young children. You can view/hear the service from the Chapel, and kiddos have space to roam and make noise they need and want to make. Toys available and feel free to bring some to share! 🧸
Children ages 4-12 can also participate in the Sunday morning children’s class that happens during most Sunday morning 10AM worship services.
👧🏻👦🏽🧒🏼 What about children and youth?
Families of all ages and sizes and types are also invited to join us for Wholly Church ✨, a newer, embodied worship service held most Sundays from 9-9:30AM in-person only. Wholly Church is on pause and will resume in fall 2026.
We offer a children’s class (ages 4-12) during most 10AM Sunday worship services in room 150. The class is designed to be engaging, fun, and meaningful. Some 10AM Sunday services are multigenerational, meaning they are designed for all ages and children stay with their families in Sanctuary C. 👉 Learn more about children’s religious education.
Middle schoolers are invited to join us for Middle School Youth Group 💛 from 10:15-11AM during the worship service in room 180.
