UUCC Beloveds,
As many of you know, each spring we run our budget drive for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1st. During the budget drive we ask UUCC members and congregants to make promises of financial support for a 12 month calendar year to support UUCC operations and programs. We ask that you complete the pledge form to let us know how much you plan to give. If you need to change the amount at any time, just let us know. Since we do not receive outside funding, what we raise during the budget drive provides the funds that make the upcoming year of congregational life possible.
Thank you, thank you to all 135 congregants and members who have pledged so far. As of today, we are 74% of the way to our goal of $700,000. We are getting closer and yet that 26% we have left to go is critical for our upcoming year and its success, especially as we begin our search for a new settled minister.
Please submit your pledge for the 2025-26 fiscal year by April 30 if you plan to pledge and haven’t. Paper forms are also available on Sundays if you prefer a paper form. Budget planning for next year is underway. We need to know what amount we are working with in order to draft the budget, which will be voted on at this June’s annual meeting.
We know this is an uncertain, difficult time for us all, and that it is particularly challenging for some among us. If you are unable to pledge this year, simply let us know by sending an email to pledge@uucolumbia.net. Whether you pledge or not, your presence and voice matters in this spiritual community and we hope you join us just the same.
We invite you all to remember that building and showing up for community is an antidote to the fear and hate we are swimming in and also an act of resistance. Our shared support for UUCC is an expression of our love and commitment to strengthen and sustain each other, our spiritual community, and our Unitarian Universalist values as a beacon of hope and possibility in these dark times. We are in this together.
In community,
Pledge Team
