SUNDAY MORNING LEARNING

This past Sunday, we welcomed UUCC member  🗳️ Ken Rock  🗳️ to our Sunday morning religious education classroom. Ken joined us to share his passion for all things democracy and voting. We took time to talk about what democracy is, why voting is important, and how we can work to make our voices heard. Our kids then had the opportunity to experience campaigning and voting as they chose between two special treats; fruit snacks or stickers. Our kids created posters representing their choice, made short campaign speeches and then, made their way to the voting booth to make their voices heard. For the record, fruit snacks won the day. Thank you so much to Ken Rock for gifting us your time!

UUCC/CUMC NURSERY PARTNERSHIP

Our nursery partnership with CUMC is in full swing and we could use a few more volunteers. If you have one or two Sundays available to gift to our nursery, please reach out. Our nursery serves our youngest congregants, crawlers-3 yrs. old, on Sunday mornings during the worship service. If you have an hour or two to spare, please connect with staff member Kelli Danaker, Kelli@uucolumbia.net.

In community,
Kelli Danaker
