Sunday Morning Happenings

Last Sunday morning we continued our exploration of Article II ❤️ in our children’s classroom. We opened by reviewing what Article II is and I’m thrilled to say that several of our kids were able to give a basic description. One was curious enough to ask us to talk again about why Article II had been reviewed and reimagined.

We then moved on to exploring the value of Interdependence 🧩. To embody this value, we first played a game 🚧 where the class was presented with a “fence” and their job was to get all of their classmates over the fence without touching it. I can happily report that everyone made it over the fence with help from those around them.

We then participated in an activity where we passed a ball of yarn 🧶 around in a circle and named things in our world that are connected, i.e., trees 🌲, bees 🐝, flowers 🌺, birds 🦆, oceans 🌊, etc. Each child named something, held onto a piece of yarn and passed it to someone else which created a web in the middle of our circle. We then experimented with what happens if someone tugs on their part of the web or lets go of their piece entirely.

This coming Sunday morning, September 29, we will create Interdependence pieces 🧩 for our Article II mobiles and be visited by some very special guests. We hope to see you there!
