Climate Justice Micro-Action #4: Slash Carbon in 30 minutes with Neighborhood Sun

Join us for this month’s climate justice micro-action and switch your electricity to community solar (…NOT solar panels on your home). In 30 minutes, you can offset your household’s electrical carbon footprint by up to 90% by just filling out a few forms. Anyone with an electric bill can do it, like 60 UUCC families already have (thank you)! Bring your BGE bill and payment information (bringing your own laptop will make it even quicker) on Sunday, February 16 or 23 in room 213 upstairs.

Simply designate to BGE that you want your electricity sourced from ☀️ Neighborhood Sun ☀️ and you will save METRIC TONS of GHG every year. Plus you get a 10% rebate while UUCC gets a $100 donation.

BGE will remain your supplier, and you will get solar power sourced from a local Maryland solar farm. No up front investments or panels on your home or apartment.

There is probably no better Return On Investment for a single climate action!

You can find more information through the short video from Neighborhood Sun below, the UUCC climate webpage or contact UUCC congregant Robin Hessey at rmhessey@gmail.com.
