The UUCC Climate Justice Revival is less than two weeks away! Use this link to signup.
On September 28-29, UUCC will host a Climate Justice Revival to collectively reimagine a spirit-filled and liberatory future. Through conversations, worship, and advocacy, we will work together to realize climate justice and collective liberation in our community.
The revival is designed to be DIFFERENT from anything we’ve done before! Instead of presentations about climate itself, the weekend is focused on discussions about justice and gathering ideas and wisdom from all participants.
The schedule for the Revival weekend is:
- Saturday, September 28 (in-person and on Zoom): Facilitated Dialogues & Children’s Program, 8:30-1:00
- Zoom link for Saturday:
- Sunday, September 29: Worship, 10:00-11:15
- Sunday, September 29: Advocacy Organizing Hour, 11:30-12:30
The facilitated discussions on Saturday will include:
- Collective Imagining of Our Community Thriving
- Making Connections on the Challenging Realities
- Building Capacity for Community Care
- Charting the Course with Transformative Actions
- Nourishing Relationships through Interdependent Commitments
Please register ASAP so we can estimate the number of attendees we need to have snacks and children’s programming for. Even if you are not 100% certain, a best guess will REALLY help (and remind you to put it on your calendar.😉 ) Here is the Registration link.
The UUCC Climate Justice Revival weekend has 3 elements, but we are only requesting registration for Saturday:
EVERYONE is encouraged to join us for as much as they can. Hope to see you there!
If you have questions, ideas, or want to help, email climateaction@uucolumbia.net or speak to UUCC congregants Mary Rodgers, Ken Crandell, or Phil Webster.
