On September 28-29, UUCC will join hundreds of UU congregations across the country for the first ever UU Climate Justice Revival. Check out UU President Rev. Betancourt’s inspiring 3 minute video invitation.
The revival is designed to be DIFFERENT from anything we’ve done before! Instead of presentations about climate itself, the weekend is focused on discussions about justice and gathering ideas and wisdom from all participants. This event is for EVERYONE, not just “climate people”! Please join us.
Saturday, September 28, will have a session for adults (and youth), and curricula for children, from 8:30AM to 1PM, with light snacks provided.
Sunday, September 29, after climate-focused worship, we’ll engage in an advocacy hour in solidarity with other UU congregations around the country.
Please HOLD THE DATES; a registration form will be available next week. Through conversations, worship, and advocacy, congregations will work together to realize climate justice and collective liberation in our communities.
If you have questions, ideas, or want to help, email climateaction@uucolumbia.net or speak to UUCC congregants Mary Rodgers, Ken Crandell, or Phil Webster.
