Every year millions of used pens and pencils are buried in landfills, or worse still, burned in incinerators. We are pleased to announce an alternative option.
If you save your used and no-longer-working pens, pen caps, mechanical and wooden pencils, highlighters, markers, marker caps, permanent markers, and permanent marker caps, UUCC member, Ed Gaddy, will take them for recycling.
In the future, Ed hopes to put a recycling box at our Owen Brown Interfaith Center building for pen and pencil collection, but in the meantime, please hold on to them until you see Ed. (Thank you, Ed!)

This is great! Thanks Ed. My company has one for highlighters and dry erase markers…but they don’t take regular pens/mechanical pens!
