🚙 EV Charger at OBIC
In April, we reported that the County permits office required that we provide “stamped” engineering drawings. It has been a long road, but we are making progress on fulfilling that request. First, we confirmed with the State that the rate of charge (16.6kW) provided still meets the Level 2 criteria and still qualifies us for the enhanced funding approvals that we were awarded. (Because of the independent circuits we planned for each charging port, as opposed to each charging station, we will still be able to provide Level 2 charging.) We then had conversations with BGE and the contractor (American Energy) and reconfirmed that the infrastructure is (more than) adequate. The electrical designer has been working on the drawings required; our first quarterly report was submitted; and we have received our first reimbursement check from the state, and we can now pay our initial invoice from our contractor. We are now awaiting any comments back from American Energy, so we can finalize and submit the engineering drawings to the County. Once approved, we will be ready to begin construction. We anticipate that installation will take place in late July / early August.
