Did you know that food waste is one of the largest contributors to climate change? Howard County now collects residential food waste in many areas of the county, and supplies green bins and indoor compost bins for free. If you know that food waste is collected in your neighborhood, we encourage you to call the county to receive your bin. If you are not sure if food waste is collected in your area, please check the county’s website at: https://www.howardcountymd.gov/Departments/Public-Works/Bureau-Of-Environmental-Services/Recycling/Feed-the-Green-Bin
