Compass Points Taking It Home Sept 30

Compass Points Taking It Home Sept 30

Hello Parents,

This week’s class was about what we can control in our lives and what has influenced us in our lives. Students documented the puzzle of their lives, and thought about the events that have influenced them and/or challenged them. You might consider asking if they would be willing to share what they added to their life puzzle.

The quotes discussed this week:

We know what we are, but know not what we may be. – William Shakespeare
They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself. —Andy Warhol
To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly. -Hemi Bergson
One faces the future with the past. – Pearl S. Buck

We’ve been having trouble with distribution of this message to the 6th grade parents. Please drop me an email to let me know you’ve received this, especially if you are a 6th grade parent!

Please be aware that there are lots of class links on the Compass Points page, including snack signup and a living class schedule (subject to change). Important upcoming date to remember: December 7th Warm Welcome Shelter (MS class hosts dinner on Friday evening). To find the class page, navigate to the RE page (https://uucolumbia.net/re-classes/) and click on 6th or 7th grade.
