The congregational Ends-Monitoring Survey (which takes about 7 minutes) is back and will be open online for the month of January. We are strongly encouraging everyone, whether you took it last year or not, are newer or not, active participant or quiet lurker, young or old, and whatever your unique qualities and identities, to take the survey.
For those of you who are not familiar with our congregational Ends, these are a visionary articulation of how we plan to serve our mission and live our values. These Ends are used as a yardstick of sorts to monitor how well we’re doing. The survey is a method of conducting this monitoring. This year we have made minor modifications to the original survey from last year, and are developing a more complete and detailed written privacy and confidentiality policy.
The Ends-Monitoring Survey Committee include congregants Lorien Haavik, Jenny Afkinich, Sherry Peruzzi, Gregory Seidman, and Jacquie Weinberg. Chat them up at social hour on Sundays; you’ll know them by their black-on-white “The Ends is Near” buttons. You can also send an email to ends-monitoring@uucolumbia.net.
