THE JAZZ-ROCK NEXUS: this Spring, the Messengers will explore the links between jazz and rock music, from 50s R+B through 60s soul, 70’s jazz-rock, 80s fusion and beyond. Come to OBIC to hear songs by Steely Dan, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Chicago, Weather Report, Pat Metheny and more. The Chalice Messengers are UUCC’s resident jazz sextet, and we’ve been playing at OBIC since 2007. As always, we will feature the talents of guest singers, including April Lee, Doug Miller, and Scott and Vickie Beck. We will provide beer, wine, soft drinks and light snacks, and you can bring your own food.
Doors open at 6:30 PM, concert starts at 7:00. This event will be held on 05/06/2023 in the evening.
