This fall marks our 20th year of shared ministry with Rev. Paige Getty at UUCC and in Howard County.
Please join us for an outdoor celebration to honor our shared ministry in Howard County over the past 20 years. We will have a brief ceremony at 2PM and some light refreshments afterward. Children are welcome!

Schedule
The ceremony will begin at 2PM with music, speakers, and presentations.
You are invited to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, games, and more to spend an afternoon by Lake Elkhorn with the UUCC community from 1PM-4PM!
Location

The Lake Elkhorn Pavilion is located at the southwest corner of Lake Elkhorn in Columbia, MD. Its physical address is 9715 Broken Land Parkway, Columbia, MD.
The ceremony will take place inside the Pavilion, an elevated structure accessible via a ramp and stairs.
Parking
Parking is a challenge near the Pavilion. Because of that, we ask that attendees reserve the small lot on Broken Land Parkway for people with accessibility needs.
Here are your parking options:
- OPTION 1: Park a 5-minute walk away from the Pavilion in the office park on Broken Land Parkway
- OPTION 2: Park a 10-minute walk away from the Pavilion near the Owen Brown Interfaith Center for a scenic route around Lake Elkhorn
- OPTION 3: Park in the small Lake Elkhorn Parking Lot for closest, quickest access to the Pavilion. Please reserve this lot for attendees with accessibility needs.
All walking routes are paved and accessible. There are no steps, though there are slight inclines.
Driving directions to all three parking options, as well as walking directions to the Pavilion, can be found below:
OPTION 1. Office park on Broken Land Parkway (5-minute walk)

- At the intersection of Broken Land Parkway and Cradlerock Way, turn into the Lakeview Office Park.
- Go to the far left of the large parking lot. You want to park in the farthest left corner, labeled on Google Maps as “Lakeview Office Building Parking Lot.” Google Maps link to this lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qoZj5qF4jp49KNbU6
- Between the trees on the far end of the lot, you will find a walking path. Follow the walking path over the footbridge, and turn left to go under Broken Land Parkway.
- Turn right onto the Lake Elkhorn Loop.
- You will cross a small footbridge, after which a gazebo (labeled “Red Pagoda” on Google Maps) will be visible to your left.
- Continue on the walking trail around the gazebo.
- The Pavilion will be the large white structure on your right.

OPTION 2. Park near the Owen Brown Interfaith Center (10-minute walk)
There are three places you can park near the Owen Brown Interfaith Center:
Parking lot by Lake Elkhorn Park (off Cradlerock Way)
Driving directions to this parking lot:
- From Broken Land Parkway, turn onto Cradlerock Way South
- Take the second right onto Dockside Lane (there will be a sign for Dockside, a private residential community)
- Take an immediate left into the parking lot
Cradlerock Way
Street parking is an option along Cradlerock Way South. There are typically vehicles parked long Cradlerock Way near the playground across from McDonald’s.
Owen Brown Interfaith Center (OBIC) lot
The Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, is UUCC’s physical home. There is ample parking available in the Owen Brown Interfaith Center lot.

Walking directions to the Lake Elkhorn Pavilion if you park near the Owen Brown Interfaith Center (OBIC)
If you park in any of the three OBIC parking options listed above, you will need to walk along Lake Elkhorn to the Pavilion.

- From the playground facing the lake, turn right onto the boardwalk. You are on the Lake Elkhorn Loop.
- After passing the Lake Elkhorn dam on your left, the walking trail will split. Continue to your left on the Lake Elkhorn Loop.
- You will cross a small footbridge, after which a gazebo (labeled “Red Pagoda” on Google Maps) will be visible to your left.
- Continue on the walking trail around the gazebo.
- The Pavilion will be the large white structure on your right.

OPTION 3. Lake Elkhorn Parking Lot (off Broken Land Parkway)
This small parking lot puts you nearest to the Pavilion. Please reserve spots in this lot for attendees with accessibility needs.
