Outdoor Event: UU Senior Support Groups

Outdoor Event: UU Senior Support Groups

As was mentioned in a previous email to regular attendees, based on survey responses, the group would like to try for a combined groups, outdoor meeting on Wednesday, July 28, from 6-8pm near Wilde Lake, Columbia.  Wilde Lake is about 1 mile from Whole Food on the opposite side of Little Patuxent Pkwy.  It’s also about a mile, maybe less, from Rt. 29.  The meeting is open to both Wednesday (Senior Singles Support) and Monday (Senior Support) group members(You can drop in anytime between 6 and 8pm. There are some benches; you might want to bring a folding chair and, if so inclined, your own food and/or beverage.)

Directions

Once you turn off Little Patuxent Parkway at Running Brook, you go about 100 yards and bear left at Hyla Brook Rd.  You’ll see two parking strips.  Walk straight onto the grass and you’ll see us under the trees.

Request

Please text if you think you can or can’t make it on the 28th.  Of course, if the weather looks nasty, we will try for the following Wednesday.  If nasty on August 4, we will take that as a higher power sign… but will try again the last Wednesday in August.  And I will be facilitating a Monday Zoom on August 2 from 1-2:15pm, again open to all group members. Text or call UUCC member and group facilitator, Mark Gorkin with any questions or comments: 301-875-2567.
