Forum, January 20, 2018,
10:15 AM to 11 AM,
Room 213 (former kitchen)

Opioid addiction is a national epidemic and Howard County families have not escaped the horror of a loved one dying from an overdose. Howard County has a proactive program to save lives using naloxone, a prescription drug. The OBIC board of directors has approved the use of county-provided NARCAN kits for OBIC staff and others at OBIC to use to respond to an overdose.

Learn how to use naloxone and you could save a life! Using prescription opioids such as oxycodone, morphine, or drugs such as heroin and fentanyl can lead to anoverdose. Naloxone is a prescription medication that reverses an opioidoverdose by restoring breathing. With naloxone on hand, you will be equipped torespond and prevent death from an overdose.

Hear Liesele Wood, Howard County Health Department explain how naloxone can save a life during our January 20, 2018 Forum, 10:15 AM to 11 AM.
