Join us for a six-part discussion series exploring regional housing inequality in the Baltimore region.
We’ll be reading local journalist Lawrence Lanahan’s The Lines Between Us: Two Families and a Quest to Cross Baltimore’s Racial Divide, published in 2019. Among many interesting narrative strands, the book follows a family as they battle a system of interconnected barriers preventing their pursuit of affordable housing in Columbia.
This book discussion will be of particular interest for those who move between Columbia and Baltimore City on a regular basis—for those who live in one place and work/worship/play in the other.
We’ll meet at 7pm via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88269982843 on the following Thursdays:
- July 30
- August 13
- August 27
- September 10
- September 24
- October 8
RSVP to Valerie if you’d like to be part of the discussion! Details (including a schedule of reading and discussion) will be sent to those who RSVP.
