20/25ish of us attended this year’s UUA General Assembly held nextdoor in BALTIMORE. General Assembly creates space for imagining and collaborating on manifesting our dreams of a different and necessary world, a Beloved Community.
Unitarian Universalism is an aspirational faith; may we embrace the hope and feel our way through the grief that comes with it. May we commit ourselves to meeting the moment by meeting one another with authenticity and real presence. May we commit to being the change we wish to see, to centering love, and to embodying our shared values (interdependence, pluralism, justice, transformation, generosity, equity) wherever we go.
The world needs us, and to quote Julián Jamaica Soto, all of us need all of us to make it.

“Meet the Moment” was the title of this year’s UUA General Assembly.
Sara, your words are virtually perfect in capturing the “moment that we met” so that Unitarian Universalists may “meet the moment” that we are in, as a denomination, a nation, and a species. The most important thing I took away from this General Assembly is that forging and keeping relationships that challenge, illuminate, inspire, and enrich us is a key to meeting the moment.
