Gratitude to the Auction

Gratitude to the Auction

I enjoyed one of my wonderful auction events last Friday.  The Auction is the gift that keeps on giving.  I enjoy the food and fellowship the night of the auction itself and then all year long I look forward to more opportunities to spend time with my congregational community.  It truly takes a congregation to make a successful auction.

I’m amazed when I think of how many people contribute to this special part of our church life.  There are the planners, tech people, set up and food servers, musicians, and auctioneers.  There are people who set up and manage the catalogue, people who set up and manage the silent auction room, people who check us in, and many who take the time to donate goods and services or host us for food and fun.  Then there are people, like me, who get to contribute by bidding and enjoying all year long.

The CORE (Connect with Others and Recognize Engagement) team wants to give a special shout out to all of us and especially to Zach Nelson (chair emeritus), Gregory Seidman (chair), Ben Burt, Bob Muller, and Lindsay Thompson who planned and coordinated an evening which enriched our coffers and our lives.
