Grief is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve.
— Dr. Earl A. Grollman
UUCC is starting a Grief Support Group on Zoom from 7-8:30PM on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Just as there are no limits on the grief that we may experience, we are not putting boundaries on who can join the group. If you are processing grief and think you would benefit from open, honest sharing with others, you are invited to participate. We will learn from and support each other on our individual grief journeys. As an old Swedish proverb says: grief shared is halved; joy shared is doubled.
💛 WHO: Anyone at UUCC who is grieving a loss (of a loved one or pet, job, divorce/separation, etc., etc.)
🪻 WHAT: Sharing the experience of loss, to help reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness
🖥️ WHERE: Zoom; link will be sent to participants 2 days before gathering
⏰ WHEN: 3rd Wednesday each month, 7-8:30PM
There’s no formal registration; however we do need to know of your interest so we can send you the reminder and Zoom link a couple of days before each meeting.
📩 To join, email Jacquie Weinberg: musthavemyway@gmail.com. Thank you.
Grief is just love with no place to go.
