ICE Raids – Know Your Rights

ICE Raids – Know Your Rights

Recently, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted raids in the Columbia village of Long Reach and at the Deep Run mobile home park, both of which have large Latino populations. Howard County Executive Calvin Ball stated that Howard County police did not and will not participate in these raids. See the Baltimore Sun article.

UUCC is working with allied immigration rights groups to educate our friends and neighbors who may be subject to these raids about their rights. Here is a Know Your Rights card developed by the National Immigration Law Center that you may print, cut out and hand to your friends and neighbors who may be at risk. Cards will also be stocked in the Free Food Pantry and in OBIC.
