The January 12 Second Sunday Outreach Offering will go to Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now).
On March 29, UUCC will once again partner with Rise Against Hunger for our annual meal-packaging event. Volunteers like you will help to package meals that will go to needy communities and school-feeding programs around the world. Previous meals UUCC has packaged have gone to Peru, Mozambique, Burkina Faso and Tanzania. Even if you cannot package meals, we need donations that will go towards buying the food that will be packaged and sent. The meal packaging event is a high energy, fun-filled social action activity great for families (children over age 6) and individuals. Last year at UUCC, 100 volunteers packaged 20,000 meals in about two hours! Our goal this year is to package 20,000 meals as well. To make this happen, we need to raise over $3,000.
Please donate generously to one of UUCC’s largest social action events and consider participating as well.
