In addition to the strong positions of support for LGBTQ concerns from the national Unitarian Universalist denomination, UUCC has a vibrant LGBTQ community that participates actively in all aspects of the life of the congregation.  You are invited to experience this inclusive religious community in Columbia, MD.

PFLAG
UUCC and our Owen Brown Interfaith Center co-owner, Christ United Methodist Church, have long-sponsored space for PFLAG – the extended family of the LGBTQ community.  The mission of PFLAG Columbia-Howard County is to support parents and caregivers of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer children.   We welcome all people – gay, straight, bisexual, transgender, and queer – as well as their families and friends.  Together, we support each other, educate the broader community, and advocate for equality.  Contact PFLAG at pflagmd@gmail.com, 443-718-0474 or chapter chair Max Crownover at crownover.max@pflaghoco.org. 

Our Whole Lives
The OWL lifespan sexuality education curriculum especially prepares our youth to understand and accept their own sexuality and that of their peers.  UUCC offers OWL classes at all ages and stages, from kindgergarten to middle school to young adult to older adult.
