As your congregational president, I’m committed to our congregation embodying love in action. And as you probably know, recently Covid has been spiking in Howard County. I know several people who’ve come down with Covid within the past couple of weeks, and not all of the cases were mild. It is still possible to need hospitalization, suffer long term effects, and even die from this virus.
I will be masked for Sunday worship until the spike subsides, and I would encourage you to do the same if your health permits it. Masking is not mandated at UUCC, but please consider joining in minimizing transmission of Covid in our community. If you forget to mask and wish to do so, there are masks available at the greeter’s table upstairs.
Thank you for this, and for being a part of our wonderful community.

Good call Laurie. As many people now know, long-time UUCC Member Karl Branting died last week from complications due to Covid, so it hit close to home.

Yes, I heard about his passing while on the road to Ohio to see our new granddaughter. I miss Karl, and his widow, Susan.
