Overnight, Wreaths, and Warm Welcome Shelter

Overnight, Wreaths, and Warm Welcome Shelter

Dear Quest family –

I hope you had a restful, relaxing, and joyous Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks so much to Rachel and Jeff Polon, and to Randall and Susan Vaughn-Ward, for helping out with wreath distribution on Sunday! If you can help this coming Sunday, December 2, please come downstairs about 10 minutes or so before service ends so we can give out the rest of the wreaths!

Upcoming for Quest in the next few weeks:

On Friday, November 30 we will have our annual Quest/YRUU overnight at 7 p.m. in Sanctuary A. To get an accurate headcount, please RSVP. And parents, we cannot have an overnight without your generous assistance! We have one awesome overnight chaperone but we must have at least one more or we cannot hold the overnight. Please consider if you can be at OBIC from 11 p.m. this Friday until 7 a.m. this Saturday (you can sleep! And bring bedding/a camp cot/etc.!) and if you can PLEASE CLICK HERE to sign up.

For the overnight, please bring snacks to share (home baked goodies, store bought stuff, sodas or juice if you would like them) and games. If you would like to participate in the entirely optional gift exchange, please bring a small wrapped gift costing no more than $10. We will provide breakfast; please bring $5 to help defray the cost of breakfast food!

And the following Sunday, December 9 will not be a regular Quest meeting but will instead be our chance to serve our guests and neighbors at the Warm Welcome Shelter. Please take a look at the sign-up and make plans to spend the evening making our guests feel welcome.

With all these other activities going on, we will not be having a First Sunday discussion in December. I hope to see you on Friday evening November 30, helping with wreaths on Sunday morning December 2, or at the Warm Welcome Shelter on Sunday December 9!

As always, please let Jen know if you have any questions!

Thank you!
