As many of you know, UUCC stocks three pantry boxes outside of our Owen Brown Interfaith Center for those among us in the community dealing with food insecurity. These boxes are no questions asked and open 24/7. We feed many hungry neighbors and are always in need of steady donations and volunteers to stock our pantry boxes.
We’ve heard from some congregants recently that they feel a need to do something to lift their spirits in this time of collective anxiety and uncertainty. Perhaps consider bringing some food donations with you to worship on a Sunday.
Providing food allows us to do something that matters in a practical and real way. And, from what we’ve noticed recently, the number of donations and donors from the community around UUCC and from UUCC has increased. (Observations support this, not raw data). This has been great to see!
While many donors are anonymous, one group that has stepped forward is Turning Circle, UUCC's Pagan spirituality group. We note their service, in particular, at winter and summer solstice services. They have also recently been filling our pantry very generously as seen in the photos below.
Why do they do this? Mike Jadoo of Turning Circle says, "To support UUCC’s efforts to aid community members and local food security initiatives. This is a simple way to spread positive energy out to the community and world".

As you are able, we invite you/your UUCC group to contribute food to the pantry. Or you can make a monetary donation online (select “food insecurity” from the menu), or with a check (note that it is for Food or Food Insecurity in the memo) at worship on Sunday.
Any and all help is very welcome. Thank you, UUCC!
