The Rev. Anthony Jenkins – Assistant Minister
Having completed his ministerial internship and received preliminary fellowship from the Unitarian Universalist Association, The Rev. Anthony Jenkins is now serving as the full-time Assistant Minister at UUCC. UUCC joyfully ordained him on October 29, 2017. He is a native of Washington DC, and has also called PA, VA, upstate NY, and southern MD home. He holds a B.A. in Music (Performance) from Morgan State University, and has made his living as a freelance bassist in the Baltimore/DC metropolitan area for the last 16 years. Anthony holds a Masters of Divinity from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, IL; he has also served as an intern chaplain at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital.
After 5 years as a bassist in the 257th Army Band (DC), Anthony now serves as a 1st Lieutenant (Chaplain Candidate) with the 29th Combat Aviation Brigade at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He is a mystic, a metaphysician, a Reiki I, and an astrology student of 26 years. Anthony, his beloved bride, Sarah, and their newly welcomed son, Tobias, currently reside in the Forest Glen neighborhood of Silver Spring.
