Pledge Drive Update (May 17, 2024)

As of May 17, UUCC congregants have made 190 pledges (just six fewer than this time last year) and we are 87% to our goal of $700,000. Together we have pledged $609,299 to support the work of UUCC in the upcoming 2024-2025 fiscal year. Thank you to all who have connected with us this pledge season and made a pledge, no matter the size.

UUCC’s draft budget needs to be finalized and published next week, so if you plan to pledge and haven’t, it’s critical that you make your pledge by Friday, May 24. The truth is that we will always gratefully receive new pledges, whenever they are able to be are made during the year. Another truth is that the official portion of UUCC’s pledge drive ended back in March, so we are running out of volunteer and staff steam, as well as runway in terms of time with the Annual Meeting coming up on June 2, when the budget will be voted on. While we hope we make it to our goal of $700,000, what we need right now is roughly $15,000 so that we don’t end up publishing and adopting a deficit budget at the Annual Meeting. Can you pledge today if you haven’t, or increase your pledge a bit if you are able?

UUCC, our collective support and shared sense of responsibility is critical to ensuring our ability to secure our new interim minister, position UUCC to attract the best possible settled minister, continue the outstanding support of our devoted staff, and enable all the great things that our congregants do to strengthen our community.
