As you have probably heard, there will be a runoff election in Georgia between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker for the U.S. Senate seat. If this seems like deja vu, it’s because the same thing happened after the 2020 election. The difference this time is that the Georgia State Legislature changed the schedule for the runoff to four weeks after the General Election. This gives grassroots organizers very little time to mobilize voters, many of whom may not realize that they need to go back to the polls just after voting on November 8. Reclaim Our Vote is proud to be partnering with the Georgia NAACP for this postcard campaign to Get Out the Vote!
For this runoff election we will be contacting Black “super voters”, people who vote consistently but who may not be aware that a runoff election is being held or when it is. The postcard script will be a little more vague than what we were used to, as many counties have not decided or announced when early voting for the runoff will start or where the early voting locations will be. So we will be telling voters to check with their local voter registrar’s office. This means the script will be relatively short. Unlike the postcards we prepared for the General Election, these should be mailed as soon as they are ready, and all must be mailed no later than November 23.
Look for me in Sanctuary B this Sunday, November 13, and the following Sunday, November 20. I will have postcards, addresses, and labels. As in 2020, there is a lot riding on Georgia’s runoff election, not just for the state but for the nation. Let’s write as many postcards as we can!

Hi! Our Indivisible group in New Mexico would like to help you, if you are interested. We could address, stamp, and send as many as 500 postcards if you could send us addresses and postcards. We could also contribute money for the postcards and shipping and will provide the stamps.
best wishes,
DAVID HOLLENBACH

Hi David — Thanks for reaching out. Our team is postcarding through a campaign led by the Center for Common Ground. Check out their website (https://www.centerforcommonground.org/postcarding) and get in touch with your regional organizer to join the effort! They will be able to set you up with postcards and addresses more quickly — and you may enjoy getting connected to a local network of passionate voters.
