Quest Meets This Saturday, 22 September!

Dear Quest families –

Here we are, the year has officially begun! And we’re off to a busy start!

Important upcoming dates:

Saturday, September 22: Quest kick-off mini-retreat at Howard County Conservancy! Please bring your Quest student to the Conservancy at 11 a.m. on Saturday and be prepared to pick them up at 3 p.m. Please send a bag lunch along with your student (including drink – a water bottle is a good idea for the day too!). We’ll all spend time getting to know each other better, including games, activities, and reflections on the work of the year to come. Please note that there is NO QUEST CLASS on Sunday evening, September 23. Regular Sunday evening classes resume on Sunday, September 30.

Sunday, September 30: Wreath sales begin! By now you should have received a message from SignUp Genius asking you to volunteer for one (or more!) slots to sell wreaths. There are two slots each Sunday – after the 9:00 service and after the 11:00 service. We need a minimum of one adult and one youth per slot!

Sunday, October 7: First Sunday Youth in Worship. Most First Sundays we will not meet in the evening, but will instead ask students to attend worship in the morning and stay for a pizza lunch and discussion. More details forthcoming – there will be a SignUp to RSVP for this as well so we know how much pizza to buy! ($5 per student if student is partaking of pizza.)

Sunday, October 28: Halloween Party! Please note that we need at least one or two parent volunteers to help the Quest class run the Halloween party for the younger UUCC kids. This will be from 5-7 p.m., our usual class time – we’ll host this party instead! Jen has lots of information and help for this for you!

As always, please feel free to email Jen with any questions/concerns!

Welcome to the Quest Year!!
