Quest parents, I hope that everyone has an orientation handout and permission slips by now. We have a general UUCC Youth Activities slip and we have one for Terrapin Adventures, our ropes course coming up on Sunday October 1. If you are missing some or any of these documents please email Jen and she will provide them.
Fall is a busy time for Quest, and we are in need of a few parent volunteers! We have resources to help you with any of these – please ask Jen for more details if you are interested in helping!
(1) Snack Sign-Up. This wasn’t publicized by me before last week, and I apologize. We ask for parents to take turns bringing snacks for the Quest class to share. They can be simple – fruit, pretzels, cookies – and can be dropped off when you drop off your student. Please sign up to take a week or two here.
(2) Wreath sales! We have tables reserved to sell wreaths after both services on Sunday October 1st, 8th, and 15th (we may add the 22nd depending on demand/availability). I can help you out with this, have all the materials ready to go in my office, but I need a parent to be the go-to coordinator for this. It’s such a great service for UUCC and it raises a lot of funds for our Boston trip! Again, please contact Jen if you can help.
(3) Halloween Party! This is so much fun! We have a great booklet available for you – all you need to do is pick four or five games that you’d like the Quest students to run at the Halloween Party on October 22 from 5-7 p.m. UUCC will reimburse you for any expenses. You know how this goes… Let Jen know if you can help!
I was able to touch base with a few of you this Sunday who weren’t able to attend the parent orientation – if you would like to meet with me in person, please let me know! I have very flexible hours and can meet many weekdays and weekday evenings and most Sundays!
Thank you again – Quest got off to a great start and I look forward to a wonderful journey this year!
