Our Whole Lives (OWL) Sexuality Education
Grade 8 – Ages 13-14*
Our Whole Lives (OWL) provides participants with a more holistic understanding of human sexuality, based in our values of respect, personal responsibility and in the context of relationship. Participants are given the guidance they need to be able to make wise decisions about their sexual health and behavior.
This is a covenanted course in which consistent participation is expected. It includes an OWL Parent component of five sessions during the year, held in conjunction with the class times.
Parents are responsible for bringing snacks on a rotating basis, and making sure their own particular OWLer gets to class every week. Here’s the link to our schedule:
* Age in September is preferred placement. For any exceptions please contact the Director of Religious Education.

There will be a $200 charge for families not already actively supporting UUCC with their time and treasure. Because the cost of training facilitators and purchasing curricula is high, we ask members to contribute $100 for the class. In all cases, if the cost is prohibitive, please speak to Robin Slaw, Director of Religious Education, about a scholarship.
