Young Religious Unitarian Universalists
Grades 10/11/12 – Ages 15-18*
YRUU is a term used by many Unitarian Universalist congregations to describe their youth groups. Our youth group here at UUCC exists to encourage teens to live their full selves in community with each other and the congregation. We engage in youth-led discussions on topics that surface from among the group, plan social activities that appeal to all, organize around issues that matter to us, and learn from each other. At times, we may participate in religious education and worship ritual. But most importantly, we strive to be a safe space that honors all of the diverse perspectives and voices that comprise our youth group.
We meet from 5-7 PM most Sundays in the Teen Lounge (room 180). For more information, please contact Valerie Hsu, Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries.
