Dear Quest family –
We had a great first First Sunday Youth in Worship lunch and discussion this past week – thank you! We’ll do it again in November.
In the meantime, we resume regular class this Sunday, October 14 in Sanctuary A from 5-7 p.m.
Reminders for October events:
* Please double check the wreath sign-up to see when you are working/if there is another time you can help. I think we still have at least one slot unclaimed. Please also remember that you can promote/sell wreaths to friends/coworkers/etc.! You can direct them to www.MickmanHolidayGifts.com and ask them to use our code, UNIUNIMD001 at check-out.
* Remember that Halloween is coming!! On Sunday, October 28 the Quest class hosts the annual UUCC Halloween Party upstairs (while YRUU puts on the Haunted House downstairs). We ask all students to arrive by at least 4:30 p.m. that day and plan to stay until at least 7:30 p.m.: we need to do set-up and take-down for the party. The more of us there are, the merrier! I may also need one or two intrepid volunteers to come even earlier, around 3:30 – more on that soon!
* Lastly (for October!) please remember that Jen needs to know by the 3rd of November if you are planning for your Quest student to go on the Boston trip. We will be asking for an initial deposit in early 2019, with the rest due closer to the trip dates over Easter weekend. Please please please reach out to Jen if you have questions or concerns about the Boston trip and do please remember we do have scholarship funds and assistance available, and you may also pay over time! We want to do everything we can to make this trip accessible to every Quest student.
Again – I know the start of Quest can feel like a lot is coming at you at once (both students AND parents!). This year truly is a journey, and I and your advisors are here if you feel like you are hitting any bumps along the way.
