Reproductive Justice Congregational Organizing Series for Teams

Reproductive Justice Congregational Organizing Series for Teams

Dear UUCC,

If you are interested and willing to work with me to build a team at UUCC that focuses on specific action(s) in support of abortion access and reproductive justice, I invite you to sign-up for an upcoming reproductive justice organizing series beginning Thursday, July 21 (learn more and sign-up below!)

Please note that I am on vacation through the month of July, and will be back in August and able to support this effort then, if there is congregational interest. In the meantime,  I hope you will sign-up to attend session 1 on Thursday, July 21 (and invite others to attend with you!), and look forward to hopefully connecting as a team in August.

In community,
Robin Slaw, Director of Religious Education

Reproductive Justice Congregational Organizing Series for Teams

As we anticipate the likely fall of Roe v. Wade in the coming weeks, we know that there will be a huge need for local organizing, resource sharing, and collective action as abortion becomes criminalized in various places. By signing up for this three-part series, you are committing to being a part of organizing a TEAM in your congregation that will organize the congregation for specific action(s) in support of abortion access and reproductive justice in your community.

The series will be facilitated by Revs. Ranwa Hammamy and Ashley Horan of the Side With Love Organizing Strategy Team.

Please note that participation in all three sessions is required.

Session 1: Thursday, July 21, 8 to 9:30pm (ET)

About session 1 — “The Role of Congregations in a Post-Roe World”: If SCOTUS overturns Roe, what might congregations that support reproductive justice be called to do? We will explore the range of possible responses, and help you make a plan to begin organizing your team, your congregation, and your community.

❤️ Register to participate on July 21.

You can also register now for July 28 (session 2) and August 4 (session 3).
