Sara Beck to perform 6/15 at 7:30 hosted by One World Coffeehouse

The UUCC One World Coffeehouse is delighted to welcome back a hometown favorite:

Sara Beck

will be performing on Saturday 6/15/19 at 7:30 pm doors open at 7:00 pm.

Sara grew up in our congregation entertaining us on special occasions with her parents Vickie and Scott Beck and sometimes her sister Heather as well.

As a songwriter, Beck draws from the roots-folk traditions of Emmylou Harris and Brandi Carlile, with a straightforward approach to storytelling that is long on melody and breath.

“I learned so much songwriting craft in Nashville, and I am so thankful for that…I feel like it gave me a toolkit, and now I get to build with a little less oversight, you know?” she muses, talking about “Everybody Falls,” a track that seems to hint at a perfectionist streak.

Mark Whitaker opens for Sara. Mark Whitaker is a singer/songwriter based in Baltimore, MD. A recent transplant from the Boston area, Mark spent the past decade performing mainly as a banjo player in the New England area working with various bluegrass bands, folk artists, and progressive acoustic ensembles.
