Sign up for Warm Welcome Shelter!

Parents,
Are you looking for ways to involve your children in service to the community? Ways to expand your child’s empathy and concern for fellow humans? Here’s your chance!

Please consider helping with this year’s Warm Welcome Shelter. UUCC hosts a group of homeless people, including families some years, for a week. We need help with providing food for them, and physical help with set-up, hosting, and clean-up. The Middle School group of families, World Religions and OWL 8, are scheduled for Friday evening support, December 8th. We still need help!

Email Jeannie Parr to sign up as a family to set-up, host, or clean-up. Sign up to provide food, which can be dropped off any time after 4 pm here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a45aea92da0f58-wwsfood

If you aren’t able to help on Friday, December 8th, please consider helping in other ways:

From December 4-11, the Warm Welcome Shelter will be open at our Interfaith Center. The shelter is a partnership with the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center to provide food, transportation, and a warm place to sleep for county residents who are homeless. During our shelter week, we will host up to 25 people, most likely including families and children. Please volunteer to help and do your part to make the shelter a success. To get involved:
