Hello Quest Families! It’s true – fall is a busy time at UUCC and we have a lot going on.
First of all, no one is signed up to bring snacks for our next meeting this Sunday, October 8. If you can help us out, please sign up here.
Second, wreath sales! They continue after both services this Sunday AND the following Sunday, October 15! Lisa and Zoe did an amazing job with our first weekend – feel free to sign up with your friends, or stop by the tables to help even if you can’t stay the whole time. Wreath sales raise funds to defray the cost of the spring trip to Boston! If you can help please sign up here.
Third, the Halloween Party is coming up on October 22! A huge thank-you to Mike and Karen Walsh for taking on the Halloween Party. We invite all students and their parents to pitch in and help run games and crafts for the littlest UUCC congregants! (Sign-up to come.)
Lastly, the Warm Welcome Shelter will be hosted in OBIC from December 4 – 11. Quest has been asked to host the dinner on Saturday night. This is an important service project for the wider community and a wonderful way for our Quest class to learn about service, values, social justice, and the importance of community. Dana Sohr has requested a parent volunteer from the Quest class to work with this year’s meal coordinator to run the Saturday evening meal on December 9. Please email Jen if you are interested in helping to coordinate this wonderful evening!
It’s a busy season, but working together we can build community, foster relationships, and leave abundant acts of kindness in this world that needs them so badly. Thank you for all you do for your students and for UUCC!
