This week, our Spirit Play children learned the story of And Tango Makes Three. It’s a wonderful (and TRUE) story about two boy penguins who fall in love and raise a baby penguin.

This book received banned book requests every year, and since it was published has been on the list of top banned books. You might want to consider purchasing a copy to have at home, to support the author and allow your money to speak for your thoughts about requests to ban books.
Have a discussion with your children about what it means for a school or library to receive a request for a book to be banned.
