This Sunday, our UUCC Superheroes learned about Christopher Reeve, who became a real live superhero after a horse-riding incident broke his spine and he became a quadriplegic. Christopher Reeve needed to figure out how to ask for help when he could no longer help himself. Our Superhero children experimented with what it might be like to ask for help eating and drinking. I saw some pretty creative pudding eating skills as they sat on their hands.
I wonder how our Superheroes might translate the skill of helping into their daily lives? Do they have a family member or neighbor or school friend who needs help? How might they help?
