This past Sunday, the 2nd & 3rd grade class learned about UU Superhero Theodore Parker, a Unitarian minister and Transcendentalist who later inspired Abraham Lincoln and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The class discussed what their own conscience might sound like and how it guides them. Have a discussion with your children about a time when you allowed your conscience to lead you, and if you are brave enough, a time when you did not listen to your conscience and what the consequences were.
Listen to Give a Little Whistle together and talk about what the song means: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51x532yW1lY
