Supporting Our New Afghan Neighbors

Supporting Our New Afghan Neighbors

Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area is planning to welcome 2,500 individuals from Afghan in the near future. All Souls worked very successfully with Lutheran Social Services in Maryland to support an Afghan family in 2017. Other UU congregations have worked well with them also. They say “We need your time, talents, and gifts to help provide transportation, housing, and other basic needs to our new neighbors, many of whom have received just a few days’ notice of their departure to the United States.”

They are holding a virtual Town Hall meeting on Thursday, August 26, from 7-8:30pm to provide more information.
