Dear Quest and YRUU families –
Last year a member of Beth Shalom Congregation founded the Howard County Teen Interfaith Initiative, a chance for high school aged youth of all faiths who live or attend school in Howard County to meet, learn about each other’s religions AND each other, and to work on social action together. Much like PATH, several congregations have youth involved and it was a strong first year despite a late start.
We had some UUCC Youth involvement last year, and I would love to see more! Interfaith cooperation, understanding, and relationship-building is such a fundamental part of the world we seek with our UU values. If you are interested, please considering coming to the kick-off event this Sunday, November 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church (corner of Rt. 175 and Tamar Drive).
If you have questions, please email the HoCo Teen Interfaith Initiative or get in touch with Jen.
Please note this is not an official portion of UUCC’s Religious Education program, but is a valuable community opportunity. There are still high school youth classes (Quest and YRUU both!) this Sunday evening as well. Even if you are curious about the group and can’t make it this week, please email their official address and get on the list!
Thank you!
