Each one of us is important in creating and sustaining a safe, nurturing and welcoming spiritual community within UUCC.
Your concerns and hopes for our congregation, particularly in light of conflict that has occurred within UUCC over recent times, are welcomed by the UUCC Trust & Reconciliation Committee. One-on-one listening sessions using Zoom and other COVID-safe methods, are still being scheduled. Register for a listening session by January 17, 2021: https://annex.uucolumbia.net/trc-listen/.
Committee members have been trained in active listening without judgement. The input from the listening sessions (without names attributed) will be used to shape a report to the Board that recommends and will help guide future actions to build trust, reconciliation, and well-being in our congregation. We seek robust participation, which will allow many voices to shape our understandings of the needs within our congregation.
Share your insights for the good of UUCC. There are a variety of times available in the coming weeks. We will work with you to find a time that’s convenient.
Please sign up at https://annex.uucolumbia.net/trc-listen/. If you have already contacted the Committee, we will reach out to you to schedule a time. We also encourage you to browse our Frequently Asked Questions at https://annex.uucolumbia.net/trc-listen-faq/ for additional information.
