Dear Quest family –
It was great to see so many of you at the First Sunday discussion last week! This Sunday, November 11, we will have a regular Quest class on Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m.
As we enter this busy holiday season, we have several activities upcoming where we invite your help!
The first two requests are for parents!
(1) We are hoping to have our annual Quest/YRUU overnight and holiday party on Friday, November 30. To make this an overnight, we need parent volunteers! We will have advisors on hand until 11 p.m. From 11 p.m. until 7 a.m., we need a minimum of two adults to camp out in Sanctuary A with our youth. We will also need someone to bring some breakfast on Saturday morning (we can reimburse!). A Signup Genius email will go out soon or you can go ahead and check out the link here.
(2) We will be hosting the Warm Welcome Shelter guests for dinner on Sunday, December 9. If you are a parent who is willing to help coordinate this activity with Paula Nagy, the WWS Meals Coordinator, please email Jen to let her know, or to ask any questions you might have!
The next request is for parents and students!!
On Sunday, November 25 and Sunday, December 2 we will have wreath pickups after service. (Remember that beginning November 25 through the end of December we will have one service only on Sundays, at 10:00 a.m.) I have not created a Signup Genius because – the more the merrier! We need adults and youth on hand to bag wreaths and hand them out, take payments, and check customers’ names off the list! Some light lifting (boxes of greens aren’t too heavy but they can be awkward!) will be required. Please make a plan to stay a bit after service and help out if you can.
Whew! I know it’s a lot. Once we move into 2019 things do get significantly quieter! If you ever have questions/concerns/ideas/etc., just let Jen know!
